How we score registered agent services
Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.
Each provider gets a score out of 10 from a fixed method. Half of it is customer satisfaction, taken from the provider's Trustpilot rating. The other half comes from what the provider publishes about its services, dashboard, packages and prices. We don't test services or buy them; every input below links to the page it came from.
Scores updated 2026-10-14. Every change to a score, including one caused by a refreshed price or rating, is reviewed and approved before it is published.
What goes into the score

Rules we hold ourselves to
- Published facts only. Every input is a fact from the provider's own website or Trustpilot, checked by a second reviewer, with the source shown below. If a provider doesn't publish something, it doesn't count.
- Regular prices. Introductory discounts are ignored; inclusions a provider always gives (such as a free first year of the agent with formation) count.
- Shared features don't count. Things every registered agent does, like putting its own address in the registered agent field, aren't scored as differences.
- Approved before publishing. When a refreshed price, rating or feature changes any score, the new scores are reviewed and approved by an editor before they appear on the site.
- Commissions don't count. Whether we earn a commission from a provider plays no part in its score or position.
- Ties. Where scores tie, providers are listed in our editorial order, and we say so on every list.

What the score doesn't measure
We don't measure ease of use, speed of real filings or how a provider handles a lawsuit, because we don't test services. Trustpilot reviews are the closest published signal for those, which is why they carry half the weight. Read the individual reviews for each provider's full published terms.
