The two split on when you pay for the agent. Bizee lists its registered agent at $149/year and gives the first year free with any of its LLC packages, so a company formed through Bizee pays nothing for the agent until the first renewal. Tailor Brands' price, supplied by the provider, is $199/year, and it renews at the same price; Tailor Brands publishes no free year. Past the agent itself, Tailor Brands says coaching is "Included with any plan purchased" and "Every plan comes with Navi built in," and its Essential and Elite plans include "Annual compliance: mandatory report filing & updates." Bizee's annual report filing is sold separately, with no published price.1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Where do the two services actually differ?
The cheaper agent on paper is Bizee's, and the broader bundle on paper is Tailor Brands'. The tables below set the published facts side by side, with a source for each.

"Score" is our editorial score out of 10, built from published facts: half from the
Trustpilot rating, the rest from breadth of services, dashboard and mail scanning, and package value and
two-year cost (how we score; scores approved 2026-10-14). We don't test services.
Trustpilot ratings are third-party, cited to Trustpilot, and not adjusted.
The list on this page follows our score, so Tailor Brands appears first; the method behind the score explains what goes into it. The score doesn't decide which of the two fits your situation, and the differences below are where that choice is made.
Tailor Brands: $199/year; renews $199/year (renews at the same price). Provided by Tailor Brands
Bizee (formerly Incfile): $149/year; renews $149/year (ongoing annual fee); Free first year with any Bizee formation package. Bizee (formerly Incfile) website, bizee.com/business-management/registered-agent
First-time founders: Tailor Brands includes all three supports (annual report filed for you, business coaching, AI guidance) in a plan; Bizee (formerly Incfile) includes none of the three.
All-in-one platform: Tailor Brands sells 9 of the 10 business service types we track; Bizee (formerly Incfile) sells 6.
Compliance: Tailor Brands includes annual report filing in a plan; Bizee (formerly Incfile) sells annual report filing separately.
Founders outside the U.S.: Tailor Brands publishes an option for founders outside the U.S. (see its review); Bizee (formerly Incfile) doesn't publish one.
The legal requirement is identical for both: a street address in your state where process can
be served. Neither can help you around it, and neither needs to.
Tailor Brands says it offers agent service in all 50 states and Bizee says it has offices in all 50 states; both send legal papers to an online account, and both terms allow automatic renewal. The gaps sit in pricing, the paperwork around cancelling, and what comes in a formation plan.1, 7
What does each agent cost at the start and after renewal?
Bizee's numbers are lower at both points: its agent comes free with any of its formation packages, and its listed renewal is below Tailor Brands' price.
Tailor Brands doesn't publish whether any of its plans include the agent, so the first-year gap for a company formed there isn't known.
Tailor Brands' agent price is supplied by the provider rather than taken from a public page, so confirm it at checkout. Its pricing page also says "The binding price is the one presented to the customer at the time of payment."5
Bizee's renewal figure comes from its marketing pages. The cancellation policy names no amount and says instead: "The current Registered Agent service annual renewal fee is available on the Website and the Customer Dashboard." So the listed renewal is the current advertised price, not a figure written into the policy.8
If you already own an LLC and want only an agent, Bizee's free year doesn't apply. The comparison is then the two standalone prices, plus whatever your state charges to file a change of agent. Our guide to changing your registered agent lists the steps in order. For every provider's price on one page, see registered agents compared on price.
What does each agent do with your legal papers?
Tailor Brands' terms describe scanning, and Bizee's pages describe physical delivery by courier plus an upload. Both put the documents in an online account you log in to.
Tailor Brands' registered agent terms say: "We will scan and upload copies of all Legal Mail received at the Registered Address." Copies then sit on its LLC dashboard with new-document notifications. Its agent page says the agent receives and forwards your legal documents, but doesn't say how, or name a courier.7
Bizee says service of process is mailed via FedEx with tracking, and documents are also promptly uploaded to your client portal. Its pages don't say whether the papers are scanned, or what happens to ordinary business mail sent to the agent address.1
Privacy and the agent address
Each agent lists its own address in the agent field of your state filing, and that holds for every provider, so neither one gains anything here. What else appears on a formation filing, such as the organizer or a principal office, follows your state's rules.
Both sell a separate business address product for owners who want their home address kept out of other fields. Tailor Brands' Virtual Address is pitched with the line "Keep your home address off public records with a professional business address." It publishes no price for it. Bizee prices its virtual address at $29/month. Tailor Brands' agent terms add a restriction worth reading: "You must not designate or otherwise refer to the Registered Address as your business location in any public materials." Our privacy comparison explains what stays on the public record.7, 9, 10
How do cancelling and refunds compare?
Bizee spells out a cancellation sequence and a short refund window on orders; Tailor Brands describes cancellation in general terms and says fees are non-refundable, with a service fee taken from any refund it does issue.
Tailor Brands. Its general terms say "We have implemented an automatic renewal option by default for subscription-based services." For the agent, "You may cancel the Registered Agent Services by notifying us and completing the necessary steps," and elsewhere "You can cancel your account at any given time by visiting your account settings." On refunds the terms say "all fees are non-refundable." When a refund is issued, a $29 service fee is charged. The agent terms promise money back in one case only, when Tailor Brands ends the service itself: "we will refund any prepaid fees specifically related to the Registered Agent Services."10, 11
Bizee. Its policy says services may automatically renew, and "A current and active credit card on file will be charged." You cancel by assigning a new registered agent with state and notifying Bizee of the change; Bizee may auto-renew if notification is not provided by the expiration date. Cancellation requests are not accepted by phone or email. Orders are generally refundable until payment is forwarded to any government entity, which happens typically within twenty-four hours after an order is placed. Bizee doesn't publish a refund rule specific to agent renewals.12
With either provider, file the new agent with the state before you stop the old one. A company left with no agent on file can lose good standing. The steps are in our guide to cancelling a registered agent.
How do the LLC packages compare?
Each has an entry plan at $0 plus state fees, but Bizee's paid packages are one-time charges and Tailor Brands' paid plans are priced per year.13
Bizee calls its package price "a one-time formation fee." The tiers are Basic at $0, Standard at $199 and Premium at $299, each plus the state fee, and each includes the first agent year. Bizee says "Standard ($199) adds your EIN, operating agreement, and faster processing." Basic buyers can add the EIN for $70 and an operating agreement for $99. Timing runs from "Basic: 4 to 6 weeks" through "Standard: approximately 2 weeks" to "Premium: approximately 4 business days."13, 14
Tailor Brands sells Lite at $0, Essential at $199/yr and Elite at $249/yr, all plus state fees. The plan cards don't say whether any plan includes the registered agent. Lite has no annual compliance, operating agreement or branding tools. Essential adds "Annual compliance: mandatory report filing & updates" and an operating agreement. Elite adds a 1-year free domain, DIY website/online store, logos and other branding tools. Processing is listed as "Lite: within 14 business days" and "Essential/Elite: within 1 business day," while its LLC formation page says "It usually takes between 7 to 10 days to form an LLC." An EIN filing service is offered, but its price isn't published.5
The headline prices can mislead in one spot. Bizee Standard and Tailor Brands Essential show the same number, yet Bizee's is charged once and Tailor Brands' carries a per-year label. Tailor Brands' cards say nothing more about what a second plan year costs, so ask before you count on it.
Neither provider's timing line says whether the state's own processing queue is included.
Which one fits your situation?
Pick by the need that weighs most for you. Each line below names the published fact that separates the two for that need.
Lowest cost: Bizee. Its standalone agent is $149/year against $199/year, and a new LLC gets the first agent year free. See the price comparison.1, 2
First-time founders: Tailor Brands. It includes all three supports we track in a plan, with coaching "Included with any plan purchased" and "Every plan comes with Navi built in." Bizee includes none of the three supports. See the list for first-time founders.3, 4
All-in-one platform: Tailor Brands. It sells 9 of the 10 business service types we track; Bizee sells 6. See all-in-one services.
Compliance: Tailor Brands. It includes report filing in Essential and Elite. Bizee says "we handle annual report filings for you" but its filing service is sold separately at no published price, and its order page lists lifetime compliance alerts only in Standard and Premium. See the compliance list.6, 15, 16
Founders outside the U.S.: Tailor Brands. It links a separate sign-up flow for non-US citizens from its formation page. Bizee's only statement is a blog line that non-U.S. citizens and non-residents can start their own businesses, which doesn't say its own service takes such orders. See agents for non-resident founders.17, 18
On privacy the two don't separate: both sell a business address product, and only Bizee publishes its price.
Registered agent: $199/year; renews $199/year (renews at the same price). Provided by Tailor Brands
Formation: Lite: $0 plus state fees (LLC formation processed within 14 business days, bookkeeping 30-day free trial, business coaching platform, sales and payments; no annual compliance, operating agreement or branding tools). Tailor Brands website, tailorbrands.com/product-pricing
Compliance: Included in Essential and Elite (annual compliance report filing and updates); not in Lite. Tailor Brands website, tailorbrands.com/product-pricing
On listed prices, Bizee. Its agent is $149/year on its own and free for the first year with any of its LLC packages. Tailor Brands' price, supplied by the provider, is $199/year, and it renews at the same price.1, 2
Do both include a free year of registered agent service?
Only Bizee publishes one. Its pages say "you get one year of Registered Agent Service for free" with any formation package. Tailor Brands' plan cards don't mention the agent, so they don't say whether a plan includes it.19
Which one files my annual report?
Tailor Brands lists report filing inside its Essential and Elite plans; Lite leaves it out. Bizee offers a filing service but publishes no price for it. Annual report rules differ by state, so read how annual reports work before paying for either.
Can I cancel either service by phone?
Bizee's policy says cancellation requests are not accepted by phone or email, and cancelling also means naming a new agent with the state. Tailor Brands lists phone support at 1-332-286-2770, but its terms describe cancelling by notifying the company and completing the necessary steps, or through account settings, and don't say whether a call counts as notice.12, 20
How do the Trustpilot ratings compare?
Tailor Brands shows 4.8 / 5, 17,815 reviews and Bizee shows 4.8 / 5 (Excellent), 26,217 reviews, so the averages match while Bizee has the larger review count. Ratings reflect customer experience rather than the contract terms above. Our reviews hub links each provider's full review.21, 22
