Best registered agent services in Georgia
Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.
All 10 services compared here sell registered agent service, and most say they cover every state; where a provider's pages don't state its coverage, the paragraph below says so. Georgia's statute, O.C.G.A. § 14-11-209, lets a company act as agent, and the agent's office address must match the LLC's registered office, so a commercial service supplies its own Georgia address for both. What sets Georgia apart is its yearly annual registration, filed January 1 to April 1 each year for $60: that filing is also how you name a new agent, so a provider's renewal date, its exit terms and whether it files the registration for you are the useful points of comparison.1, 2
How is this list ordered, and what was compared?
Providers appear by our score, highest first, with ties in editorial order; the order isn't a ranking of which service suits a Georgia LLC best.
Our score uses published, cited facts only: the Trustpilot rating, the breadth of the service and its dashboard, and value, including what the service costs after its first term. How we score shows each provider's breakdown. We don't buy or test the services. Trustpilot ratings appear as a third-party figure with their own citation and aren't adjusted.

"Score" is our editorial score out of 10, built from published facts: half from the Trustpilot rating, the rest from breadth of services, dashboard and mail scanning, and package value and two-year cost (how we score; scores approved 2026-10-14). We don't test services. Trustpilot ratings are third-party, cited to Trustpilot, and not adjusted.
For every provider we looked at the same set of published facts: the agent price, the renewal price, how legal papers reach you, whether it sells an annual registration filing, how auto-renewal and cancellation work, and the refund terms. Facts come from each provider's own pages and terms, or are marked as supplied by the provider. A blank means the provider doesn't publish that fact. For what an agent does in general, read what a registered agent does; this page covers picking a commercial one for a Georgia LLC.
Which Georgia rules change how you compare agent services?
Three rules shape the choice here: who may serve, the yearly registration that doubles as the agent-change filing, and a resignation rule tied to that same registration.
A company may serve, at a Georgia address. The statute allows an individual resident of this state, a corporation, another limited liability company, or a foreign company with authority to do business in Georgia. The agent's business office address shall be the same as the address of the registered office. So a national service meets the rule with its own Georgia office, and that office becomes your registered office on the record. Listing the agent's address in that field is what every commercial agent does; it isn't a feature of one brand. Who else may serve, and the address rules in full, are on the Georgia registered agent guide.1
The yearly registration is also the change form. Each Georgia LLC files an annual registration January 1 to April 1 each year, and it updates officers/managers, registered agent and address information. When you change agents on that filing, there is no separate fee for the change. Outside the window, an amended annual registration costs $30. This gives Georgia owners a cheap moment to switch: if a provider's renewal falls after April, you can name a new agent on the registration and give notice before the old term renews. The steps are in how to change a registered agent.3, 4
Resignations follow the registration too. An agent who quits must notify the LLC in writing on or before filing, and the appointment ends on the earlier of the LLC's annual registration filing or the 31st day after the resignation is filed. A resignation can therefore leave you with a short window, and being without a registered agent or office for 60 days or more is a ground for administrative dissolution. What the state does after that, and the $260 reinstatement fee, are covered on staying compliant in Georgia.5, 6, 7
How do the registered agent services compare for Georgia?
Each provider has its own heading below, in the table's order. Georgia LLCs owe an annual registration every spring, so where a provider sells a filing service for it, the price is given.
Tailor Brands
Tailor Brands supplied its agent price, $199/year, and its renewal, $199/year (renews at the same price). It says it serves all 50 states, and that it will scan papers and upload them to your business dashboard. The agent's address comes with a condition in its terms: "You must not designate or otherwise refer to the Registered Address as your business location in any public materials." A separate Virtual Address product is listed for that purpose, unpriced. For the Georgia registration, its explanatory copy says the agent can file the annual report if instructed, and its formation plan at $199/yr plus state fees bundles annual compliance (report filing and updates). The general terms set an automatic renewal option by default for subscriptions, and refunds, where given, carry a $29 service fee. Full terms: Tailor Brands review.8, 9, 10, 11, 12
ZenBusiness
ZenBusiness charges $199/year, with renewal at $199/yr, and it offers 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC. You get scans; its terms add "Originals will not be forwarded" unless a document can't be copied. A Georgia owner who wants the registration filed can pay Annual Report Filing $100 per report or take Worry-Free Compliance $199/year, on top of the state's $60 ($50 filing fee + $10 service charge). The agent renews automatically. To leave, you go through customer support by phone, and refunds are possible only if the service has not yet been used. The ZenBusiness review has the rest.13, 14, 15
LegalZoom
LegalZoom's agent costs $249/year (first-time registered agent customers); it auto-renews at the purchase rate each year until you cancel, with the renewal rate subject to change. Reminders cover annual report deadlines via Compliance Calendar, and its paid filing is $99 + state filing fees, bills once. Cancellation runs by phone or online via My Account. Because proof of new RA may be required, it helps to have the annual or amended registration naming the new agent already filed before calling. LegalZoom's agent terms promise a refund only in a narrow case: prepaid fees for current term refunded only when LegalZoom terminates the service. Its coverage list isn't on the pages we cite. Read the LegalZoom review.16, 17, 18
Bizee
Bought alone, Bizee's agent is $149/year, and Bizee calls the renewal $149/year (ongoing annual fee). Forming through Bizee adds one year of Registered Agent Service for free. Lawsuit papers are mailed via FedEx with tracking, and Bizee advertises lifetime compliance notifications. It offers annual report filing too, with no standalone price stated. Its terms say services may automatically renew, and cancelling requires a new agent on file plus notifying Bizee of the change; in Georgia, that means the registration comes first. More in the Bizee review.19, 20, 21, 22, 23
Swyft Filings
Swyft Filings prices its agent at $149 per quarter ($596/year). Its agent page says documents are uploaded to your account, with legal SOP typically within 2-3 hours. A Swyft FAQ says the service renews annually with reminders before renewal, which sits oddly with quarterly billing, so confirm the cycle. Before you can cancel, a replacement agent must be designated. Refunds are handled case-by-case by charge type and order status. For the Georgia registration, Swyft sells ComplianceGuard $199/year, which starts as a 14-day free trial then auto-charged. See the Swyft Filings review.24, 25, 26, 27, 28
doola
doola's agent page shows $297 per year, matching its Starter plan ($297/yr), so it's unclear whether the agent can be bought alone. The agent is free with Formation Service. It offers same-day scans, and doola sends annual report notifications but doesn't publish a filing service for them. Its terms say recurring fees auto-renew. Its coverage list isn't on the pages we cite. The doola review covers its plans.29, 30, 31
Northwest Registered Agent
Northwest charges $125 per year and says it has offices in every state plus D.C. and Puerto Rico. Legal papers are uploaded to your account, and ordinary mail is scanned free up to 5 docs per year. The Georgia angle is its annual report service at $100 + state fees, charged at filing: Northwest tells agent customers "you'll automatically be enrolled in our renewal service", so expect that charge around the spring registration unless you opt out. There is no cancellation fee. Whether the agent itself auto-renews isn't stated. More in the Northwest review.32, 33, 34, 35
Rocket Lawyer
Rocket Lawyer's agent is $125 with a Plus or Pro membership, and the membership is its own yearly bill (Plus $249/year, Pro $349/year); add the two to compare. Only Pro brings the annual report service, at $100 with Pro membership, excluding state fees. The agent will automatically renew for successive 1-year terms, and cancelling has to happen before renewal date. A refund request has to be made within 30 days of purchase. See the Rocket Lawyer review.36, 37, 38, 39
InCorp Services
InCorp lists $129/year and calls it a $129 per year flat rate, while its terms bill renewals at the then-current fee. Its dashboard is the Entity Management System (EMS), included free, and it files annual reports for $89 + state fees. Leaving needs one of its listed conditions to be met before the yearly fee is due; for a Georgia LLC that keeps going, the practical route is the condition listed as appoint new agent. Refund requests have a window: within 60 days of issuance of services. The InCorp review has the full terms.40, 41, 42, 43
Harbor Compliance
Harbor Compliance charges $99 first year (new customers); after that the price is $159 annually. It advertises same-day document scanning. The notice period is the term to plan around: notice of non-renewal is due at least 90 days before the end of the current term, so compare that date with the spring registration if you intend to switch. Harbor's annual report service costs $199 per state per year plus filing fees, and its fees are non-refundable. Read the Harbor Compliance review.44, 45, 46
What does a registered agent cost in Georgia in year one and later?
In year one you pay the state's charge for the Articles, $110 ($100 filing fee + $10 service charge), plus the agent's first-year price. From the next calendar year on, you add the $60 ($50 filing fee + $10 service charge) annual registration to the agent's renewal.2, 4

The first annual registration is due in the calendar year after formation, so an LLC formed this year pays its first registration fee next spring, alongside whatever the agent renews at. Missing the April deadline adds a $25 penalty. If a provider also files the registration for you, its fee sits on top of the state's; ZenBusiness, LegalZoom, Northwest, Rocket Lawyer, InCorp, Swyft Filings and Harbor Compliance each publish one, listed in the paragraphs above.2, 4
How far the second-year bill moves from the first depends on the provider.
- Bizee's agent is included with a formation package for the first year and then renews at $149/year (ongoing annual fee).20
- ZenBusiness halves the first year for LLCs it forms, then charges $199/yr.14
- Harbor Compliance's introductory price rises to $159 annually.44
- LegalZoom's renewal follows the purchase rate, which it says may change.
- Swyft Filings bills by the quarter, so compare its yearly total.
- Rocket Lawyer's agent price needs a paid membership on top.
If you expect to keep the LLC for a while, the renewal and any registration-filing fee count for more than the opening offer. Formation totals are worked out on the cheapest ways to form a Georgia LLC and Georgia LLC formation services compared. Agent-only prices nationally are on cheapest registered agent services, and our comparison page puts two providers side by side.
Georgia registered agent services: common questions
Can I switch registered agents in Georgia without a separate state fee?
Yes, if you make the change on the annual registration filed January 1 to April 1 each year. The registration fee is $60 ($50 filing fee + $10 service charge), and there is no separate fee for the agent change. At any other time of year, an amended annual registration costs $30. Check your current provider's notice rules before you file; Harbor Compliance, for example, wants notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term.2, 4, 45
Do I need a provider that files the Georgia annual registration?
No. The owner can file it directly with the Secretary of State. A provider's filing service saves the step but adds its own fee to the state's $60 ($50 filing fee + $10 service charge), and some providers enrol agent customers automatically. Northwest tells its agent customers "you'll automatically be enrolled in our renewal service". The annual reports explainer and the Georgia compliance page cover the filing.34
What happens if my registered agent resigns in Georgia?
The agent must notify the LLC in writing, and the appointment ends on the earlier of the LLC's annual registration filing or the 31st day after the resignation is filed. Name a new agent on an amended registration before then. Being without a registered agent or office for 60 days or more is a ground for administrative dissolution, though the LLC has 60 days after notice to correct the ground. How to cancel a registered agent explains the order of steps from the owner's side.5, 6
Can I list the agent's Georgia address as my business address?
Two providers' terms say no in writing. Tailor Brands' terms bar it (the agent address cannot be used as the business location in public materials), and LegalZoom's wording is "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media." The other providers don't publish a rule on it either way. The agent's address fills the registered office field for any LLC that hires a commercial agent. For a public-facing address, some providers sell a separate product, such as Bizee's virtual address at $29/month; 1 month free with Bizee LLC formation. What an agent can and can't keep off the record explains which details stay public.10, 16, 47
Why is one provider above another on this list?
Because its score is higher, or, on a tie, because of editorial order. Trustpilot ratings make up the largest share of that score, and they rate each company overall rather than its Georgia service. For your own LLC, the renewal price, notice period and registration-filing fee above tell you more. The method is on how we score, and providers with filing tools are grouped on agents with compliance tools.
What does an LLC formed in another state pay to register in Georgia?
It files for a Certificate of Authority, which costs $235 ($225 + $10 service charge) for a Certificate of Authority. Georgia's agent statute lets a foreign company with that authority act as an agent itself, and the Georgia registered agent guide covers the agent rules for out-of-state LLCs.4
