Best statutory agent services in Arizona
Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.
The 10 services compared here all sell registered agent service, which Arizona calls statutory agent service; most say they cover every state, and the two that don't say are flagged below. Arizona's statute, A.R.S. § 29-3115, requires an LLC's agent to have a place of business or residence in the state, so the service you hire needs an Arizona address. The detail that is easy to miss is the county of that address: a new LLC's notice must be published within 60 days of filing, and when the agent's street address is in Maricopa or Pima County the Commission posts it online instead of you paying a newspaper. Because Arizona LLCs are not required to file annual reports, the useful comparison is renewal price, how legal papers reach you and how easy a service is to leave.1, 2, 3
Arizona law uses the term statutory agent. Most states call the same role a registered agent. What the term means in Arizona
How is this list ordered, and what did we compare?
The table below lists every published provider by our score, highest first, and for each one we compared the same published facts on price, renewal, mail handling, cancellation and refunds.
Where scores tie, the order is editorial and is not a judgment about which is better. Our score is built only from published, cited facts: customer satisfaction, breadth of service and dashboard, and value and cost. The method and each provider's breakdown are on how we score. We don't test services. Each provider's Trustpilot rating sits beside our score as a separate third-party number, cited to Trustpilot, and we don't adjust it.
| # | Service | Score | Trustpilot | Reviews | Statutory agent service |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tailor Brands | 8.7/10 | 4.8/5 | 17,815 | $199/year; renews $199/year (renews at the same price). |
| 2 | ZenBusiness | 8.1/10 | 4.8/5 | 32,795 | $199/year; renews $199/yr. |
| 3 | LegalZoom | 7.9/10 | 4.6/5 | 33,485 | $249/year (first-time registered agent customers); renews at the purchase rate each year; rate subject to change. |

| 5 | Swyft Filings | 7.4/10 | 4.7/5 | 7,988 | $149 per quarter ($596/year); renews $149 per quarter, auto-renews until cancelled. |
| 6 | doola | 7.3/10 | 4.5/5 | 2,082 | $297 per year; RA free with Formation Service. |
| 7 | Northwest Registered Agent | 6.9/10 | 4.1/5 | 306 | $125 per year; One year of registered agent service included with formation ($39 + state fees), as stated on the corporation page. |
| 8 | Rocket Lawyer | 6.8/10 | 4.5/5 | 9,838 | $125 with a Plus or Pro membership. |
| 9 | InCorp Services | 6.7/10 | 4.7/5 | 95 | $129/year; renews $129 per year flat rate (ToS: 'then current' fee). |
| 10 | Harbor Compliance | 5.9/10 | 3.1/5 | 53 | $99 first year (new customers); renews $159 annually. |
"Score" is our editorial score out of 10, built from published facts: half from the Trustpilot rating, the rest from breadth of services, dashboard and mail scanning, and package value and two-year cost (how we score; scores approved 2026-10-14). We don't test services. Trustpilot ratings are third-party, cited to Trustpilot, and not adjusted.
The full set of facts per provider is the statutory agent price, what it renews at, how legal papers reach you, whether the provider sells a separate business address, how auto-renewal and cancellation work, and the refund terms. Each fact comes from the provider's own pages or terms, or is marked as supplied by the provider, and is cited in the Sources list. When a provider doesn't publish a fact, we say so instead of guessing. The general job of the agent is covered in what a statutory agent does; this page is only about choosing a commercial one for an Arizona LLC.
How do Arizona's rules affect which service you pick?
They narrow what to compare. The agent needs an Arizona address, its county decides whether you pay a newspaper, and with no annual report and a cheap change fee, renewal and exit terms count as much as the entry price.
The address must be in Arizona. Under A.R.S. § 29-3115, a statutory agent for an LLC must have a place of business or residence in Arizona. A national service that serves Arizona meets this with an Arizona address. Whichever service you hire, its address is the one listed in the agent field of your filing; that is true of every statutory agent, not a feature of one provider. Choosing an agent changes only that field, not the other names and addresses your Articles ask for. Some providers also sell a separate business address or mail-forwarding product; whether such an address can go in another field of your Articles is a question for the Commission. Who may serve and the full address rules are on our Arizona statutory agent guide.
The agent's county decides who publishes. After the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) files your Articles, the law asks for 3 consecutive newspaper publications in the statutory agent's county, within 60 days of filing. When the agent's street address is in Maricopa or Pima County, the newspaper step is replaced: the ACC posts the notice online. So the county of your agent's address, not your own, decides whether you pay a newspaper. None of the provider facts we cite says which county its Arizona address is in, so it is worth asking the provider before you file. If the answer is Maricopa or Pima, the Commission handles the notice; for any other county, add a newspaper's charge to your first-year cost. What to file once the notice runs is covered in staying compliant in Arizona.2
There is no annual report to file. The Commission's FAQ says LLCs are not required to file annual reports, so there is no annual report fee ($0). Many agent services advertise annual-report reminders or filing. For an LLC registered only in Arizona, the report part of those features has nothing to file. What you still compare is how fast legal papers reach you and what the service costs to keep.3
Switching is cheap, so the exit terms matter as much as the entry price. Changing agents costs $5.00 on the Statement of Change of Principal Address or Statutory Agent (Form L020), filed with the Statutory Agent Acceptance form M002 when you name a new agent. With a state fee that low, a provider's notice period or closed refund window can cost you more than the filing does. The step-by-step process is in how to change a statutory agent.4, 5
How do the statutory agent services compare in Arizona?
Providers appear below in the same order as the table above, with each provider's published terms under its own heading.
Tailor Brands
Tailor Brands charges $199/year for statutory agent service and lists renewal as $199/year (renews at the same price); both prices are supplied by the provider. It says it covers all 50 states. It lists documents scanned and uploaded to the business dashboard. Its terms set a limit worth knowing: the agent address cannot be used as the business location in public materials. So the agent's address isn't one to present as your business location, for example on your website. For that, it sells a separate Virtual Address product, described as a professional business address, but doesn't publish its price. Its terms describe auto-renewal on by default for subscription services. Fees are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law, with a $29 service fee deducted from any refund issued. Its Essential formation package, at $199/yr plus state fees, includes annual compliance (report filing and updates); an Arizona LLC has no annual report for the filing part to cover. See the Tailor Brands review.6, 7, 8, 9, 10
ZenBusiness
ZenBusiness charges $199/year and renews at $199/yr. There's no free year, but it offers 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC. It describes a secure online dashboard with email notifications; its terms say scanned copies are sent, with originals forwarded only if they can't be copied. The service renews automatically. You cancel by contacting customer support by phone, and its terms allow a refund request only if the service has not yet been used. Its formation packages leave agent service out and sell it as an add-on +$199/yr. See the ZenBusiness review.11, 12, 13, 14
LegalZoom
LegalZoom charges $249/year (first-time registered agent customers). The service renews at the purchase rate each year; rate subject to change. It lists legal documents scanned and uploaded, plus other mail uploaded to account and emailed. Like Tailor Brands, its agent terms limit how the agent's address is used: "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media." Its terms say the service will renew automatically at the end of the Initial Term. You can cancel by phone or online via My Account, and proof of new RA may be required, so in Arizona the change form may need to be on file first. LegalZoom doesn't state its state coverage on the pages we checked. More in the LegalZoom review.15, 16
Bizee
Bizee lists agent service at $149/year and describes renewal as $149/year (ongoing annual fee). It also offers a free first year with any Bizee formation package, and says it covers all 50 states. Service of process, meaning the formal delivery of a lawsuit, is mailed via FedEx with tracking, and it lists documents uploaded to client portal. Its terms say services may automatically renew. You cancel by assigning a new registered agent with the state and notifying Bizee of the change, which in Arizona means filing the change form with the Commission before you notify Bizee. Orders are generally refundable until payment is forwarded to any government entity. More detail is in the Bizee review.17, 18, 19, 20
Swyft Filings
Swyft Filings lists agent service at $149 per quarter ($596/year), so it is billed every quarter rather than once a year, and it auto-renews until cancelled. It says it covers all 50 states. Documents go to an online dashboard, and its page gives this timing: legal SOP typically available within 2-3 hours. Its FAQ also says the service renews annually with reminders before renewal, which doesn't match the quarterly billing, so confirm the schedule at checkout. To cancel, a replacement agent must be designated (or business dissolved) before cancellation; in Arizona that means filing the change form with the Commission first. Refunds are decided case-by-case by charge type and order status, with no published time window. See the Swyft Filings review.21, 22, 23, 24
doola
doola's agent page says $297 per year, the same figure as its Starter formation plan ($297/yr), and it doesn't make clear whether that price buys the agent alone. The agent is free with Formation Service. It offers same-day scans. Physical mail forwarding is not included in base RA subscription unless stated in plan, so check the plan if you want paper originals. Its terms say recurring fees auto-renew. Its published refund term is about filings: a refund may be possible if application cancelled before it is sent to the state. doola doesn't state its state coverage on the pages we checked. See the doola review.25, 26, 27
Northwest Registered Agent
Northwest charges $125 per year. On its corporation page it lists one year of registered agent service included with formation ($39 + state fees); its LLC page doesn't say the agent is included. It says it has offices in every state plus D.C. and Puerto Rico. Legal documents are uploaded to your account, and it lists normal business mail scanned up to 5 docs per year free. Separately, it sells Mail Forwarding $20/month (24 select states). You can cancel anytime through the online account; no cancellation fee. Purchases are non-refundable after 90 days. Its pages don't say whether the agent service itself auto-renews. See the Northwest review.28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33
Rocket Lawyer
Rocket Lawyer prices its agent at $125 with a Plus or Pro membership. The agent isn't sold without that membership, which is a separate yearly charge: Plus is $249/year and Pro is $349/year. So the real yearly cost is the membership plus the agent price. It says it covers all 50 states. Its terms say documents are scanned and uploaded to email and account, and it says it will forward all state legal documents directly to you. The service will automatically renew for successive 1-year terms. You can cancel any time by phone, before renewal date, and refund requests must come within 30 days of purchase. Read the Rocket Lawyer review.34, 35, 36
InCorp Services
InCorp charges $129/year and describes it as a $129 per year flat rate, though its terms bill renewals at the then-current fee. It says it covers all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands. Legal documents are scanned and delivered same day. Its terms say service continues and is billed at then-current fee unless a cancellation condition is met. The conditions listed are to dissolve entity, appoint new agent, or resign InCorp with fees, and one must be met before the annual fee is due. Refund requests must be made within 60 days of issuance of services, and its terms add: discounted services nonrefundable. With its formation service, agent service is sold separately at $129 per state per year. Read the InCorp review.37, 38, 39, 40
Harbor Compliance
Harbor Compliance charges $99 first year (new customers) and renews at $159 annually. It advertises same-day document scanning. Its terms renew the service for another term unless you give notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term. Arizona's change form costs little, but a missed notice date means another paid term. Its terms say all Fees paid for the Services are non-refundable. More in the Harbor Compliance review.41, 42
What does a statutory agent cost in Arizona in year one and after?
Year one is the state's $50.00 filing fee for the Articles plus the agent's first-year price, and a newspaper's charge if your agent's address is outside Maricopa and Pima counties.4
We found no official newspaper rate to cite, so a quote from a newspaper in the agent's county is the way to know. From year two, the cost is mostly the agent's renewal, because an Arizona LLC files no annual report ($0).3

Arizona statutory agent services: common questions
Does my statutory agent's county change what I pay in Arizona?
It can. Arizona requires 3 consecutive newspaper publications in the statutory agent's county, within 60 days of filing. When the agent's street address is in Maricopa or Pima County, the ACC posts the notice online instead and you pay no newspaper. Ask a provider which county its Arizona street address is in before you name it on your Articles.2
How much does it cost to switch statutory agent services in Arizona?
The state charges $5.00 to file a statement of change naming the new agent. Bigger costs can come from the old provider's terms, such as Harbor Compliance's non-renewal notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term, or a refund window that has closed. Some providers tie cancellation to the new appointment: Bizee's terms describe cancelling by assigning a new registered agent with the state and notifying Bizee of the change. So the change is filed with the Commission first; the Arizona statutory agent guide explains the order of steps.4, 20, 42
Do I need a service's annual report feature for an Arizona LLC?
Not for Arizona. The Commission says LLCs are not required to file annual reports, so there is no annual report fee ($0). Annual-report filing in agent or formation packages has nothing to file for an Arizona LLC. These features may still matter if you also register the LLC in another state; see annual reports explained.3
What happens if I stop paying my statutory agent service?
Most services compared here say they renew automatically. InCorp's terms, for example, say service continues and is billed at then-current fee unless a cancellation condition is met. If an agent resigns instead, the resignation takes effect on the 31st day after the ACC files it or when you name a new agent, whichever comes first. Going without an agent for 60 consecutive days is grounds for administrative dissolution. Read how to cancel a statutory agent before you stop paying.39, 43, 44
Can I use the statutory agent's address as my Arizona business address?
It depends on the provider's terms. Tailor Brands' terms say the agent address cannot be used as the business location in public materials, and LegalZoom's agent terms say: "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media." Every agent's address goes in the agent field of your filing; choosing an agent doesn't change the other addresses your Articles ask for. Some providers sell a separate business address: Bizee's virtual address is $29/month; 1 month free with Bizee LLC formation. Whether such an address can go in another field of your Articles is a question for the Commission. Our guide to what a statutory agent can and can't keep off the record explains what stays public.8, 15, 45
How is the list on this page ordered?
By our score, highest first, with ties in editorial order. Our score is built only from published, cited facts, and the largest part of it comes from each provider's Trustpilot rating; the method and every provider's breakdown are on how we score. Trustpilot reflects customer reviews of each company as a whole, not of its Arizona service, so the prices and terms in each paragraph above are what to compare for your own LLC. For providers with compliance features, see agents with compliance tools.
