Best registered agent services in Florida

Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.

All 10 providers on this page sell registered agent service that a Florida LLC can name, and most of them say they cover every state. Under Fla. Stat. § 605.0113, the agent is either an individual who resides in this state and whose business address is identical to the address of the registered office or a business entity authorized in Florida, so a national service qualifies through its Florida office. Two Florida facts shape the choice more than the headline price. The state charges a $25 registered agent designation inside its formation fee no matter who you name, and every Florida LLC files an annual report in the window from January 1 to May 1 each year, with a $400 late fee after May 1. That makes a service's annual report help, its renewal price and its exit terms the things worth comparing.1, 2, 3

How is this list ordered, and what was compared?

The order follows our score from highest to lowest, ties in editorial order, and every provider was checked against the same published facts on price, renewal, mail handling, annual report help and cancellation.

Three parts make up our score, all drawn from cited facts: customer satisfaction, breadth of service and dashboard, and value and cost. How we score shows the weights and every provider's breakdown. No service on this page was bought or tried by us. The Trustpilot rating beside each name is a separate third-party number, cited to Trustpilot and left as published.

"Score" is our editorial score out of 10, built from published facts: half from the Trustpilot rating, the rest from breadth of services, dashboard and mail scanning, and package value and two-year cost (how we score; scores approved 2026-10-14). We don't test services. Trustpilot ratings are third-party, cited to Trustpilot, and not adjusted.

For a Florida reader, the facts we lined up for each provider are the agent's price and renewal, how legal papers reach you, what it says about annual report reminders or filing, whether it charges extra to file that report, how auto-renewal and cancellation work, and what its refund terms allow. Each fact links to the provider's own page or terms in the Sources list, or is marked as supplied by the provider. Where a provider is silent on something, the paragraph says it doesn't publish that fact. If you are still deciding whether you need a commercial agent at all, start with what a registered agent does and the Florida registered agent requirements.

Which Florida rules change how you compare agent services?

Three rules do most of the work: who may be the agent and at what address, the yearly report with its May deadline and late fee, and what it takes to replace an agent you no longer want.

The agent's address becomes your registered office. Florida's statute requires "A registered office, which may be the same as its place of business in this state," and it then requires the agent's business address to match that office. An out-of-state company can act as agent only as a foreign entity authorized to transact business in Florida, that is an authorized entity with a business address identical to the registered office. When you hire a commercial service, its Florida address therefore fills both the office and the agent fields on your filing. That is true of every provider here and is not a feature any one of them adds. Principal and mailing addresses are listed separately on the annual report, so the agent's address doesn't replace them. The privacy guide for registered agents explains which fields remain public.1, 3

The annual report is where services differ most in Florida. The report costs $138.75 when filed January 1 to May 1 each year. Miss that window and Florida adds a $400 late fee after May 1, making the report cost $538.75. Some providers only send reminders; others file the report for a separate fee or inside a yearly plan, and most of those list the state's charge as extra. So read each paragraph below for two things, the agent's renewal and what the provider charges to file the report.2, 3

Leaving a provider involves a state filing. Florida's Change of Registered Agent filing costs $25. Several providers make you file that change before they will stop billing you, and Harbor Compliance wants notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term. If an agent resigns on its own, the resignation takes effect on the 31st day after the Department files the statement of resignation, or sooner if you name a new agent. The full replacement process is in how to change a registered agent.2, 4, 5

What does each provider offer a Florida LLC?

In table order, here is what each provider publishes about its agent and about Florida's yearly report, which is where the offers diverge most in this state.

Tailor Brands

The agent costs $199/year, and renewal is $199/year (renews at the same price); both figures come from the provider and neither appears on a public page yet. Coverage is all 50 states. Tailor Brands lists documents scanned and uploaded to the business dashboard and an LLC dashboard with new-document notifications. On annual reports, Tailor Brands says the agent can file the annual report if instructed. Its Essential plan, $199/yr plus state fees, bundles annual compliance (report filing and updates); the plan doesn't say the state's $138.75 report fee is folded in. A Florida owner who wants a public-facing address separate from the registered office would look at its Virtual Address product, which has no published price. Refunds are limited: fees are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law, with a $29 service fee deducted from any refund issued. The Tailor Brands review covers renewal and cancellation terms.6, 7, 8, 9

ZenBusiness

ZenBusiness gives 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC; after that the agent is $199/yr. It lists documents scanned and uploaded to dashboard, plus mail and overnight delivery for urgent notices. For annual reports ZenBusiness lists two routes: pay per filing (Annual Report Filing $100 per report) or subscribe to Worry-Free Compliance $199/year. ZenBusiness doesn't say whether either price covers Florida's own report fee. A refund is possible only if the service has not yet been used. Cancellation steps and the full plan list are in the ZenBusiness review.10, 11, 12

LegalZoom

LegalZoom charges $249/year (first-time registered agent customers), and the service renews at the purchase rate each year (rate subject to change). LegalZoom pairs the agent with email reminders about annual report deadlines via Compliance Calendar, and sells report filing at $99 + state filing fees, bills once. Its agent terms carry an address limit: "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media." In Florida, where the agent's address doubles as the registered office, that means the office address is not one to print on marketing. Under the agent terms, prepaid fees are refunded only when LegalZoom terminates the service. See the LegalZoom review.13, 14, 15

Bizee

Bizee's standalone agent is $149/year, but a Florida LLC formed through Bizee gets a free first year with any Bizee formation package, and the renewal after that is $149/year (ongoing annual fee). Lawsuit papers are mailed via FedEx with tracking. Bizee includes free lifetime compliance notifications and says it files annual reports, yet the report service has no standalone price stated, so the cost of having Bizee file Florida's report is a question to ask before May. Orders are generally refundable until payment is forwarded to a government entity. The Bizee review has the cancellation steps.16, 17, 18, 19, 20

Swyft Filings

Swyft Filings bills the agent at $149 per quarter ($596/year), the highest yearly agent figure on this page. Its page promises legal SOP typically within 2-3 hours. Swyft's annual report filing is part of ComplianceGuard $199/year, and the state fee applies. Because that service begins with a 14-day free trial then auto-charged, note when the trial ends: the yearly charge starts then, not at Florida's report window. Swyft says a replacement agent must be designated (or business dissolved) before cancellation. More in the Swyft Filings review.21, 22, 23

doola

doola publishes $297 per year on its agent page, the same figure as its Starter plan ($297/yr), and says the agent is free with Formation Service without giving a term. It advertises same-day scans. On Florida's report, doola lists annual report notifications but doesn't publish a report filing service, so you would file the report yourself or ask doola. Its general terms say recurring fees auto-renew. See the doola review.24, 25, 26

Northwest Registered Agent

Northwest's agent is $125 per year, with offices in every state plus D.C. and Puerto Rico, and it lists normal business mail scanned up to 5 docs per year free. The term most specific to Florida is its report enrollment: Northwest's page says that when you sign up for the agent, "you'll automatically be enrolled in our renewal service," and that service is $100 + state fees, charged at filing. Add Florida's $138.75 report fee and the report costs more each year than Northwest's agent does. Northwest's auto-pay page does not say RA itself auto-renews. Purchases are non-refundable after 90 days. See the Northwest review.27, 28, 29, 30

Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer sells the agent at $125 with a Plus or Pro membership, so the real yearly figure is the membership, $249/year for Plus or $349/year for Pro, plus the agent. Only Pro members get report filing, at $100 with Pro membership, excluding state fees. You can cancel any time by phone, and Rocket Lawyer's terms leave the Florida change filing to you. Refund requests are accepted within 30 days of purchase. More in the Rocket Lawyer review.31, 32, 33, 34

InCorp Services

InCorp prices the agent at $129/year, described as a $129 per year flat rate, while its terms allow the fee in force at renewal. It lists legal documents scanned and delivered same day and an Entity Management System (EMS), included free with a compliance calendar. Its report service is $89 + state fees, so a Florida LLC pays InCorp's fee and the state's $138.75. Its terms let you stop the fees only by meeting a cancellation condition (dissolve entity, appoint new agent, or resign InCorp with fees). If the route is InCorp resigning, Florida's fee schedule lists $85.00 for a resignation filing by an active agent. Refund requests must come within 60 days of issuance of services. See the InCorp review.5, 35, 36, 37, 38

Harbor Compliance

Harbor Compliance charges $99 first year (new customers) and then $159 annually. It advertises same-day document scanning and adds annual report filing reminders. Harbor's annual report filing service is $199 per state per year plus filing fees. The agent rolls over unless notice arrives at least 90 days before the end of the current term. Harbor's terms make fees non-refundable. See the Harbor Compliance review.4, 39, 40

How much will an agent and the yearly report cost in Florida?

In year one you pay the state's $125 ($100 filing fee + $25 registered agent designation) to form the LLC and the agent's first-year price; from year two the agent's renewal and the $138.75 annual report become the recurring costs.2

The state's formation fee already includes a $25 registered agent designation, so naming a commercial agent doesn't add a state charge; the provider's own price is the extra. The Division's FAQ says "We do not offer expedited services." No speed fee belongs in the year-one total.41

From year two, the comparison changes shape. Add three things for each provider: its renewal price, Florida's report fee, and whatever the provider charges to file that report if you don't file it yourself on the Division's site.

Filing the report yourself avoids the provider fee but not the state's, and a missed May deadline brings a $400 late fee after May 1, more than any report-filing fee listed above. Formation totals with each package are on the cheapest ways to form a Florida LLC, and the formation steps are on Florida LLC formation services compared. The report itself is covered on keeping a Florida LLC in good standing. For agent prices nationally, see cheapest registered agent services, or compare two providers on our comparison page.3

Questions Florida owners ask about agent services

Does Florida charge a fee for naming a registered agent?

Yes. The state's formation total of $125 includes a $25 registered agent designation, and you pay it whether you name yourself, a friend or a commercial service. A provider's agent price is a separate charge on top. Changing the agent later costs $25.2

Can a registered agent service file my Florida annual report?

Several can, and most list the state's $138.75 as extra to their own fee. ZenBusiness lists Annual Report Filing $100 per report, LegalZoom $99 + state filing fees, bills once and InCorp $89 + state fees, while Northwest automatically enrolls agent customers in its report service ($100 + state fees, charged at filing). Others, such as doola, list only reminders. Filing yourself is allowed, and annual reports explained covers what the report is.2

What happens if my Florida annual report is late?

The report costs $138.75 when filed in the window from January 1 to May 1 each year. A report filed later carries a $400 late fee after May 1. Reminders from an agent service don't file anything on their own, so check whether your provider files or only reminds. What follows a missed report is covered in staying compliant in Florida.2, 3

How do I switch registered agent services in Florida?

The usual order is to file Florida's Change of Registered Agent form naming the new agent, which costs $25, and then cancel the old service under its terms. Some providers insist on that order; Swyft Filings, for one, says a replacement agent must be designated (or business dissolved) before cancellation. Harbor Compliance's notice period, at least 90 days before the end of the current term, can mean one more paid term if you miss it. The steps are in how to cancel a registered agent.2, 4, 23

What if my registered agent resigns?

A resignation takes effect on the 31st day after the Department files the statement of resignation, or earlier if you file a new agent, and the agent must promptly mail a copy to the LLC. Florida treats failing to maintain an agent as a ground for administrative dissolution. The Florida registered agent guide explains how a replacement is filed.5, 42

Can I list the agent's Florida address as my business address?

LegalZoom and Tailor Brands say no in their terms. LegalZoom writes "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media," and Tailor Brands' terms say "You must not designate or otherwise refer to the Registered Address as your business location in any public materials." In Florida the agent's address fills the registered office field. Principal and mailing addresses are separate entries on the annual report. Owners who want a business address apart from home can compare the add-on address products in each review, and agents with compliance tools lists providers by their report features.3, 13, 43
