Best LLC formation services in Nevada

Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.

A new Nevada LLC files the Articles of Organization for $75, and the Initial List of Managers or Members ($150) and the $200 State Business License are due when the Articles of Organization are filed. That makes the state's bill at formation three fees rather than one, and a formation service charges its own fee on top. What separates the packages is what they leave out: the registered agent, an EIN, an operating agreement, faster handling, and help with the yearly list that follows.1, 2

How do you form an LLC in Nevada, step by step?

You pick a name, choose an agent with a Nevada street address, file the Articles with the initial list and business license, decide on speed, then get an EIN and write an operating agreement.

The order counts in Nevada because the list and the license travel with the Articles.

  1. Check the name is free with the Nevada Secretary of State. A name can be held for $25 for 90 days, which helps only if something is delaying your filing.1
  2. Choose your registered agent. Under Nevada law, a registered agent is either a commercial registered agent or a noncommercial registered agent (NRS 77.300). An LLC that doesn't hire a commercial agent may instead name the title of an office or position with the entity. Either way, the filing needs an actual street address or rural route box number in this State. The Nevada registered agent guide explains who qualifies and what becomes public.3
  3. Complete the Articles of Organization. A service prepares it from your order; if you file yourself, you fill in the state's form.1
  4. Add the initial list and the business license. The Initial List of Managers or Members ($150) and the $200 State Business License are due when the Articles of Organization are filed, so they go in with the Articles rather than a year later.2
  5. Pick a filing method. The state lists these options: Online (via nvsos.gov), by mail or in person.1
  6. Decide on speed. The state's instructions we cite list paid tiers, 24-hour $125, 2-hour $500 and 1-hour $1,000 per item, each on top of the filing fee. We found no published standard processing time to quote, so ask the state if you have a date to meet.1
  7. Get an EIN. The Employer Identification Number is the LLC's federal tax ID, issued by the IRS rather than the state. Banks usually ask for it.
  8. Write an operating agreement. It records who owns what share and how decisions are made.
  9. Mark the anniversary month. The Annual List of Managers or Members is due each year by the last day of the month in which the LLC's organization anniversary falls, at $150, with the license renewal. Staying compliant in Nevada covers the yearly filings and the Commerce Tax, which applies only if Nevada gross revenue exceeds $4 million in a fiscal year.1, 4, 5

Because we found no published standard state processing time for Nevada, each provider's own timing is the one number you can compare. The next table puts the cheapest package beside the handling time the provider publishes, which runs before the state's own review.

A provider that is quick on its side still waits on the state unless a paid tier is bought, and none of the packages names the Nevada tier, if any, it pays for. None of these providers publishes whether it files the initial list and license with the Articles. The year-by-year totals are worked out in the cheapest ways to form a Nevada LLC.

What does each formation package include for a Nevada LLC?

These paragraphs cover only formation packages, in the order of the site's provider table: our score, highest first, with ties in editorial order.

None of the package pages we read mentions Nevada's initial list or business license by name. Ask any service you order from whether it files them with the Articles. Agent services themselves are compared in registered agent services in Nevada.

Tailor Brands

Lite is $0 plus state fees, with handling within 14 business days, and its listing says no annual compliance, operating agreement or branding tools. Essential, $199/yr plus state fees, is billed yearly, moves processing to within 1 business day and adds the operating agreement and annual compliance filing, which in Nevada has a yearly list to file. Elite, $249/yr plus state fees, adds 1-year free domain, DIY website/online store, logos. No package lists the agent; Tailor Brands sells it separately at $199/year.6, 18

ZenBusiness

Starter costs $0 + state fees (does not renew) and carries Worry-Free Compliance free for 1 year (then $199/yr). ZenBusiness's quoted timing excludes Secretary of State time, and a Rush upgrade +$79 on Starter is offered. Starter leaves out the EIN and operating agreement (EIN and operating agreement are +$99 add-ons). Pro, $199 + state fees, renews at $199/yr, includes both and covers state-required annual report filings and up to 2 amendments per year. No ZenBusiness package includes the agent, which is sold as an add-on +$199/yr.7

LegalZoom

The Basic package, $0 + state filing fees, lists Articles of organization. The EIN and operating agreement are sold apart from Basic and come with Pro and Premium; operating agreements start at $99. Pro ($249 + state filing fees) adds attorney consultations, 30 days included, then $49/month auto-renew. Premium ($299 + state filing fees) adds bookkeeping tools, 6-month subscription included.8, 19

Bizee

Bizee's Basic package is $0 + state fee and its listing shows "Registered Agent (1st year included)". Standard, $199 + state fee, covers Basic plus EIN, operating agreement, faster processing (~2 weeks), and Bizee says that timing includes expedited filing without naming the Nevada tier it pays for. Premium, $299 + state fee, lists expedited filing (~4 business days). Adding the operating agreement to Basic is priced at +$99.9

Swyft Filings

Basic is $0 + state fees and processes in 7-10 business days. Every tier comes with a ComplianceGuard trial, which its listing describes as "Access one free annual report"; after the trial the service is ComplianceGuard $199/year. Standard is listed at $169 + state fees (promotional, 'SAVE $30'; regular $199) and adds custom organizational minutes, custom banking resolution, business banking essentials, operating agreement. Premium adds same-day processing, incorp updates, professional business address. The agent isn't listed in any package; on its own it is $149 per quarter ($596/year).10, 20

doola

doola's Starter plan is $297/yr, a yearly charge, and lists LLC filing, EIN, US bank account guidance, US business address, registered agent. It says filing takes 1-2 business days on its side. The next plan, Tax and Compliance, is $1,999/yr. doola says it can help a US citizen or a non-resident without a US SSN; agent services for non-resident founders covers that group.11, 21, 22

Northwest Registered Agent

Northwest's formation is $39 + State Fees and comes with a free domain name, open source website, phone line, business email, business address, brand protection. Its corporation page describes a formation price as "a total that includes one year of registered agent service"; its LLC page doesn't say, so ask. For founders without a Social Security number, its EIN service is $200 without SSN, against $50 (with SSN).12, 23, 24

Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer ties formation to membership (First registration free with a Rocket Lawyer membership), and membership is yearly. The Standard membership is listed as $149/year (Standard; registered agent not included), so a Nevada agent through Rocket Lawyer means Plus or Pro. The formation offer excludes government and third party fees. No operating agreement is listed with the formation offer.13, 25

InCorp

InCorp's formation service is priced starting at $99 plus state fees, with the registered agent sold separately at $129 per state per year. It charges a $50.00 InCorp expedite fee and says any state expedite fee is charged in addition, so an expedited Nevada order pays both. Its EIN service is $69. No operating agreement is itemized.14, 15, 26, 27

Harbor Compliance

Harbor's formation starts at $99 plus state fees and its page lists name check, articles, registered agent, EIN, and the operating agreement, without saying which tier includes what or for how long. It says it can prepare and file the government forms to create most LLCs in one business day. It also says it can expedite the state's processing and offer several options in most states, with no published price. The agent on its own is $99 first year (new customers), renewing at $159 annually.16, 17, 28

Should you file the Nevada Articles yourself or use a service?

Filing yourself costs the three state fees at formation, plus an agent if you hire one, and you handle the agent, the initial list, the license and the EIN yourself.

A service charges for preparing the filing and often bundles extras with it.

If the LLC doesn't hire a commercial agent, Nevada lets it use a noncommercial agent, or name the title of an office or position with the entity. That saves the agent fee. The Nevada street address given for the agent then sits on the public record, and someone has to be there to accept papers.

Speed is where self-filers and services meet the same price list. The state's paid tiers apply whoever files, and a provider's own expedite fee, such as InCorp's, is separate from them. Ask whether a package's "fast" timing includes the state's fee, since the lowest state tier is listed as "24-hour $125".

Watch what renews. Several packages bundle a first year of agent or compliance service that then bills yearly, and some plans are yearly charges themselves. Nevada's yearly list makes compliance services more useful here than in states with no annual filing, but you can also file the list yourself. Owners with co-owners or outside investors may want a lawyer to review the operating agreement. The glossary defines the filing terms.

Questions about forming an LLC in Nevada

Are the initial list and business license really due at formation in Nevada?

Yes, by default. The Initial List of Managers or Members ($150) and the $200 State Business License are due when the Articles of Organization are filed; the statute also lets an LLC select another due date in some cases, so ask the Nevada Secretary of State if you think that applies. Budget for all three charges on the day you file, whether you file yourself or a service does.2

How fast can Nevada approve an LLC?

The state sells speed in tiers: 24-hour $125, 2-hour $500 and 1-hour $1,000 per item, each on top of the filing fee. We found no published standard processing time for an unexpedited filing. A service's own handling time comes before the state's.1

Can I file the Nevada Articles online?

Yes. The Nevada Secretary of State lists its filing options as follows: Online (via nvsos.gov), by mail or in person.1

Should I reserve my LLC name in Nevada first?

Only if you can't file soon. A reservation costs $25 and lasts 90 days. If you're ready, you can check availability and file the Articles directly.1

Do formation packages include a Nevada registered agent?

Some do. Bizee's cheapest package includes the agent's first year, and doola's Starter lists it, while ZenBusiness sells it as an add-on +$199/yr. Check the renewal price as well; registered agent services in Nevada compares them.7

Does a Nevada LLC owe franchise tax?

The Nevada source we cite describes the Commerce Tax, which applies only if Nevada gross revenue exceeds $4 million in a fiscal year, and doesn't mention a franchise tax by that name. The yearly list and license fees apply to every LLC. See what Nevada LLCs file each year and how annual reports work.5
