Cheapest LLC formation in Nevada
Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.
The lowest possible first-year bill is three state charges: $75 for the Articles of Organization, the Initial List of Managers or Members ($150), and the $200 State Business License, all due when the Articles of Organization are filed. That works if the agent costs nothing, either because the LLC names its own office as agent or because a package bundles the first year; Bizee's packages include one year of Registered Agent Service for free. From the second year, every LLC pays the annual list ($150) and the business license again, plus any agent renewal. That is why a package listed at $0 + state fee never totals zero in Nevada: the state's fees are added, and a bundled agent starts billing in year two.1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Which Nevada fees can't be avoided?
Every Nevada LLC pays the same state charges at formation and each year after, whichever service files them. No provider can discount these.
| Filing | Fee |
|---|---|
| Form the LLC | $75 bizhub.nv.gov |
| Reserve a name | $25 (reserved for 90 days) bizhub.nv.gov |
| Expedited processing | 24-hour $125; 2-hour $500; 1-hour $1,000 per item, on top of the filing fee bizhub.nv.gov |
| Change of registered agent | $60 leg.state.nv.us |
| Recurring report | $150 leg.state.nv.us |
| Reinstatement after dissolution | $300, plus each missed annual list fee and $75 late penalty; a charter revoked for 5 consecutive years cannot be reinstated leg.state.nv.us |
| Register an out-of-state LLC | $75 (plus $150 initial list and $200 State Business License) bizhub.nv.gov |
At formation, three fees apply together. The Articles cost $75. The initial list, which names the managers or managing members, and the State Business License are due when the Articles of Organization are filed. Add those three before you compare any package price, because the packages quote their own fee "plus state fees".2
Each year after, two of those come back. The annual list is due each year by the last day of the month in which the LLC's organization anniversary falls, at $150, and the $200 State Business License fee is paid with it. Of the state fees on this page, this pair is the recurring bill. The Commerce Tax is separate and applies only if Nevada gross revenue exceeds $4 million in a fiscal year.4, 6, 7
Two more state fees apply only in some cases. A name reservation costs $25 and only helps if you need to hold a name before filing. An LLC formed in another state that registers here pays a foreign registration fee instead of the Articles fee, and it carries the list and license too: $75 (plus $150 initial list and $200 State Business License).1
Where does a Nevada LLC's bill grow beyond the state fees?
Five things lift the bill above the state's fixed charges: faster processing, a paid agent, a compliance subscription, add-ons sold at checkout, and penalties for a late list.
Expedited processing
Nevada sells speed per filing: 24-hour $125, 2-hour $500 and 1-hour $1,000 per item. Each is charged on top of the filing fee. These amounts are large next to the Articles fee itself, so they mostly make sense when a contract, a lease or a bank account needs the LLC by a fixed date. If a package advertises fast filing, ask whether it pays the state's tier or only speeds up the provider's own preparation.1
The registered agent
A paid agent is the cost most likely to grow after year one. There are three routes.
- Name your own office. Nevada lets an LLC with no commercial agent name the title of an office or position with the entity, so no agent fee is due. The filing still needs an actual street address or rural route box number in this State, and that address goes on the public record. The Nevada registered agent guide explains the options.8
- Take a bundled first year. Some packages include the agent for year one; it then renews at the provider's yearly price.
- Buy the agent on its own, at the standalone prices compared below.
Switching later costs $60 on the Change of Registered Agent by Represented Entity filing. File the change before cancelling the old service so there is no gap; changing a registered agent covers the steps.1, 9
Compliance subscriptions
Because Nevada has a yearly list, many providers sell a service to file it. These add a provider fee each year on top of the state's list and license fees. Some start automatically. Northwest's terms describe RA customers auto-enrolled in Compliance Services billed in annual auto-pay, at $100 plus state fees per filing, and Swyft Filings' compliance product begins with a free trial and then bills on its own (14-day free trial then auto-charged). Filing the list yourself avoids that fee.10, 11, 12
Add-ons at checkout
Formation checkouts commonly offer an EIN, an operating agreement, a business address, and legal document libraries. Each is a separate decision from the state filing. The IRS issues the EIN itself, so an EIN add-on pays for the provider's help with the application.
Penalties for a late list
A late list carries a $75 late fee on the list and a $100 State Business License late fee. If the charter is revoked, reinstatement starts at $300 plus the missed fees, and a charter revoked for 5 consecutive years cannot be reinstated. Staying compliant in Nevada sets out the calendar.1, 2

Below, each provider's cheapest route is set against what it costs to keep in year two, in the same order.
Tailor Brands. The Lite package is $0 plus state fees and doesn't list an agent, so add $199/year or name your own office. The Essential plan, $199/yr plus state fees, is a yearly charge that includes annual compliance (report filing and updates), which in Nevada covers a list that is actually due. Terms in full: Tailor Brands review.13, 14
ZenBusiness. Starter is $0 + state fees (does not renew). The agent is an add-on +$199/yr, with 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC, renewing at $199/yr. Starter also carries Worry-Free Compliance free for 1 year (then $199/yr), so note when that year ends. More on ZenBusiness's pricing.15, 16
LegalZoom. Basic is $0 + state filing fees. The agent is $249/year (first-time registered agent customers), and renewal follows the purchase rate, with the rate subject to change. How LegalZoom compares.17, 18
Bizee. Basic is $0 + state fee, and the agent's first year comes with it. In year two the agent renews at $149/year (ongoing annual fee), on top of the state's list and license. Terms in full: Bizee review.19
Swyft Filings. Basic is $0 + state fees, with no agent listed. Its agent is billed at $149 per quarter, which comes to $596/year; that yearly figure is the one to compare. More on Swyft Filings' pricing.20, 21
doola. Starter is $297/yr and lists the agent, but the plan itself recurs every year, and doola's general terms say recurring fees will automatically renew at the rates then in effect, so year two costs whatever the plan is priced at then. How doola compares.22, 23
Northwest Registered Agent. Formation is $39 + State Fees, and the agent alone is $125 per year. Its corporation page says a year of agent service is bundled, but the LLC page is silent, so confirm before ordering. Budget for its list filing too, $100 plus state fees, unless you opt out of the enrolment. Terms in full: Northwest review.11, 24, 25
Rocket Lawyer. Formation comes with membership (First registration free with a Rocket Lawyer membership). Memberships are yearly: Standard, $149/year, doesn't include the agent, and Plus is $249/year before the agent's own price ($125 with a Plus or Pro membership). More on Rocket Lawyer's pricing.26, 27, 28
InCorp Services. Formation is priced starting at $99 plus state fees, with the registered agent sold separately at $129 per state per year. Its terms bill renewals at the 'then current' fee. How InCorp compares.29, 30, 31
Harbor Compliance. Formation starts at $99 plus state fees. The agent is $99 first year (new customers), then $159 annually, and stopping that renewal needs notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term. Terms in full: Harbor Compliance review.32, 33, 34

Nevada LLC cost questions
Can I form a Nevada LLC for just the state fees?
Yes, if the agent costs nothing in year one. You can name your own office as agent, which Nevada allows for an LLC without a commercial agent, or use a package such as Bizee's at $0 + state fee that bundles the agent's first year. The state fees are still the Articles ($75), the initial list and the business license.1, 5
What does a Nevada LLC cost each year after formation?
The annual list is $150 and the State Business License is paid with it, due each year by the last day of the month in which the LLC's organization anniversary falls. Add an agent renewal if you pay for one, and any yearly plan or compliance service you signed up for. Taxes beyond these filings are outside this page.4
Is it worth paying to expedite a Nevada filing?
Only with a firm deadline. The state's tiers are 24-hour $125, 2-hour $500 and 1-hour $1,000 per item, each added to the filing fee. Without a date to meet, unexpedited filing is the cheaper choice.1
What does it cost if I file the annual list late?
The state adds a $75 late fee on the list and a $100 State Business License late fee. If the LLC's charter is revoked, reinstatement starts at $300 plus the missed fees. A reminder set for your anniversary month avoids both; registered agent services in Nevada shows which providers send them.1, 2
Does switching agents after the free year cost anything?
Yes. Nevada charges $60 for the statement of change. A lower renewal elsewhere can still make the switch worth it; check the old provider's notice terms before you file.9
