Best registered agent services in Wyoming

Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.

All 10 services on this page sell registered agent service, and most of them say they cover every state. Wyoming's statute, Wyo. Stat. § 17-28-101, wants the registered office at a street address in Wyoming where the agent is physically present, so whichever company you hire must keep a real Wyoming location. Wyoming also has a yearly filing: an annual report with a license tax of $60 minimum or $0.0002 per dollar of Wyoming assets, whichever is larger. That makes two things worth comparing beyond the agent fee: what each service charges to file the report for you, and how hard it is to walk away from a service that renews on its own.1, 2

How is this list ordered, and which facts did we compare?

Providers appear by our score, highest first, with tied scores in editorial order; for each we pulled the same published facts on agent price, renewal, document delivery, cancellation, refunds and report filing.

The score uses only cited facts: customer satisfaction, breadth of service and dashboard, and value and cost. You can see how it's built, and each provider's parts, on how we score. We do not buy or test services. Trustpilot ratings sit next to our score as a third-party figure, sourced to Trustpilot and left as published.

We don't test services. Trustpilot ratings are third-party, cited to Trustpilot, and not adjusted.

Every fact below comes from the provider's own site or terms, or is marked as supplied by the provider, and appears in the Sources list. Where a provider is silent, we say it doesn't publish the fact. For the general job description, read what a registered agent does, which applies in every state. Here the question is narrower: which commercial agent suits an LLC formed or registered in Wyoming.

Which Wyoming rules change how you pick an agent service?

Three rules shape the choice: the agent needs a staffed Wyoming street address, the LLC owes a yearly report with a license tax, and the state's fee to switch agents is $5.3

A staffed street address in Wyoming

Under Wyo. Stat. § 17-28-101, an individual can serve who is at least eighteen (18) years of age, resides in this state and whose business office is identical with the registered office. A business entity or a commercial registered agent can serve too. In every case the registered office is a physical place in Wyoming, not a mailbox. National services meet this through their own Wyoming offices. Their address then fills the agent field of your filing, which is how every commercial agent works and not a perk of any one brand. Other fields on your Articles are separate from that choice. Who qualifies and how the address rule reads in full are in the Wyoming registered agent guide.1

A yearly report with an asset-based tax

Wyoming LLCs owe an annual report due on the first day of the anniversary month of formation each year, and the report carries the license tax. Many agent services sell report filing. Two details limit what a service can take off your hands. The tax itself is owed by the LLC whoever files, and it grows with Wyoming assets above the minimum. The Secretary of State's annual report page adds a limit on online filing (Online filing is not allowed if the annual report fee exceeds $500), so an LLC with more assets may not be able to file online, whoever prepares the report. Paying online also adds a 2.4% card processing fee (minimum $1). The calendar, penalties and reinstatement are covered on staying compliant in Wyoming.2, 4

Cheap to switch, so exit terms count

A new appointment is filed on the Appointment of New Registered Agent and Office ($5). At that price, the state's charge is rarely what makes switching expensive; a provider's notice window or a closed refund period is more likely to. If your agent resigns instead, Wyoming's statute requires it to notify you at least 30 days before filing, and if no successor is named, service goes to the Secretary of State. The full process is in how to change a registered agent.1, 5

How do the registered agent services compare for a Wyoming LLC?

Each provider below keeps the position it has in the table above, with its published terms and its annual report offer.

Tailor Brands

Tailor Brands prices its agent at $199/year and gives renewal as $199/year (renews at the same price); the provider supplied both figures. Coverage is listed as all 50 states, and it lists documents scanned and uploaded to the business dashboard. For the Wyoming report, its explainer copy says the agent can file the annual report if instructed, and its Essential plan ($199/yr plus state fees) bundles annual compliance (report filing and updates). One limit in its terms: the agent's address cannot be used as the business location in public materials. Its terms set auto-renewal on by default for subscription services, and they add a $29 service fee deducted from any refund issued. Read the Tailor Brands review.6, 7, 8, 9, 10

ZenBusiness

ZenBusiness lists $199/year with renewal at $199/yr, and new LLCs get 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC. Its terms add that ZenBusiness may increase its fees for RA Services at the start of a term. For Wyoming's report it sells Annual Report Filing $100 per report or a yearly bundle, Worry-Free Compliance $199/year; its pricing doesn't say whether the Wyoming license tax is included. Cancelling is done by contacting customer support by phone. See the ZenBusiness review.11, 12, 13

LegalZoom

LegalZoom asks $249/year (first-time registered agent customers). Its page says the service auto-renews at the purchase rate each year until you cancel, and that the renewal rate is subject to change. Legal papers are scanned, and other mail uploaded to account and emailed. It sends reminders when tax and annual report deadlines are approaching, and its report filing is $99 + state filing fees, which in Wyoming means the license tax is added. Its agent terms limit the address: "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media." When you leave, proof of new RA may be required, so the new Wyoming appointment should already be on file. LegalZoom doesn't publish its state coverage on the pages we read. Our LegalZoom write-up has the rest.14, 15, 16

Bizee

Bizee sells agent service for $149/year, renewing at $149/year (ongoing annual fee), and there's a free first year with any Bizee formation package. Lawsuit papers (service of process) are mailed via FedEx with tracking, and it advertises free lifetime compliance notifications. It offers annual report filing but has no standalone price stated, so ask for the price before relying on it for the Wyoming report. Cancellation works by assigning a new registered agent with the state and notifying Bizee of the change, which puts the $5 state filing first. Orders are generally refundable until payment is forwarded to a government entity. Details are in the Bizee review.17, 18, 19, 20, 21

Swyft Filings

Swyft Filings quotes $149 per quarter ($596/year), billed by the quarter. Its page says documents go to your account, with legal SOP typically within 2-3 hours. A Wyoming report could go through ComplianceGuard $199/year, sold as a 14-day free trial then auto-charged, so the charge comes when the trial ends. Its cancellation rule: a replacement agent must be designated (or business dissolved) before cancellation. Refunds are judged by charge type, with no published time window. Billing details sit in our Swyft Filings write-up.22, 23, 24, 25

doola

doola's agent page shows $297 per year, which equals its Starter formation plan ($297/yr), and the page doesn't make clear whether that buys the agent alone. doola says the agent comes free with its formation service (RA free with Formation Service). It offers same-day scans of documents that arrive. Alerts cover annual report notifications; doola doesn't publish a standalone report-filing price. Its terms say recurring fees auto-renew, and it doesn't publish its state coverage on the pages we read. Our doola write-up has the plan list.26, 27, 28

Northwest Registered Agent

Northwest charges $125 per year and lists offices in every state plus D.C. and Puerto Rico. Its storage terms allow a fee for Legal Documents received above the current 15 per year limit. The detail to know for Wyoming: its annual report page says "When you sign up for our registered agent services, you'll automatically be enrolled in our renewal service", and that report service is $100 + state fees, charged at filing. For a Wyoming LLC that means the report gets filed, and you are billed for it, unless you opt out. On leaving, Northwest's terms come down to this: Cancel anytime through the online account; no cancellation fee. See the Northwest review.29, 30, 31, 32

Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer's agent is $125 with a Plus or Pro membership, and that membership is its own yearly bill: Plus at $249/year, Pro at $349/year. Report filing is $100 with Pro membership, excluding state fees, and its pricing page lists annual report filing as not included on the Standard and Plus memberships; the Wyoming license tax is separate in any case. The agent renews in successive 1-year terms. Refund requests must come within 30 days of purchase. Membership details are in our Rocket Lawyer write-up.33, 34, 35, 36

InCorp Services

InCorp charges $129/year, which it calls a $129 per year flat rate, though its terms bill renewals at the then-current fee. Its listed coverage is All 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands. Legal documents are scanned and delivered same day. Its report service is $89 + state fees. To stop paying, you must meet a condition: dissolve entity, appoint new agent, or resign InCorp with fees. Refund requests must be made within 60 days of issuance of services. InCorp's terms in full are summarized in our InCorp write-up.37, 38, 39, 40

Harbor Compliance

Harbor Compliance starts at $99 first year (new customers) and renews at $159 annually. Its report service is $199 per state per year plus filing fees. The service renews unless you give notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term, so leaving takes planning months ahead, whatever the state charges for the change filing. Its terms state that "all Fees paid for the Services are non-refundable." Our Harbor Compliance write-up covers its terms.41, 42, 43

What does a registered agent cost a Wyoming LLC in year one and after?

In year one you pay the $100 filing fee for the Articles plus the agent's first-year price; from year two the bill is the agent renewal plus the annual report license tax.3

Each provider's first-year agent price and renewal sit in the table near the top of this page; the sums below add Wyoming's own charges to them.

The license tax starts at $60 minimum and rises with Wyoming assets; the Secretary of State's FAQ says an entity with $300,000 or less in assets pays the minimum. Any report-filing fee a provider charges comes on top of the tax, not instead of it. Comparing providers on the second year therefore means adding three things: the agent renewal, the tax, and any filing service you choose to keep.2

The first year and later years can differ by a wide margin, and each provider handles the gap its own way.

Northwest's automatic enrolment in report filing also changes the yearly total unless you opt out. Full formation sums are on the cheapest ways to form a Wyoming LLC and Wyoming LLC formation services compared. Agent-only prices nationwide are on cheapest registered agent services, and two providers can be set side by side on our comparison page.

Common questions about registered agent services in Wyoming

Do I need a service that files the Wyoming annual report?

No, but it can help. The report is due on the first day of the anniversary month of formation each year, and you can file it yourself. A service saves you the reminder and the form, but the license tax is still a cost to the LLC. Northwest's annual report page says "When you sign up for our registered agent services, you'll automatically be enrolled in our renewal service", so check whether you want that before ordering.4, 31

Can a P.O. box or virtual mailbox be my Wyoming registered office?

No. Wyo. Stat. § 17-28-101 requires a street address in Wyoming that is a physical location where the agent is present. Commercial agents use their own Wyoming offices for this. A separate business address product sold by a provider is a different thing from the registered office; our page on what an agent can and can't keep off the record explains what stays public.1

How much does it cost to switch registered agents in Wyoming?

The state charges $5 for the appointment of a new agent and office. The larger costs usually sit in the old provider's terms, such as Harbor Compliance's notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term or InCorp's list of cancellation conditions. File the new appointment first, then cancel the old service.3, 43

What happens if my Wyoming LLC has no registered agent?

Wyoming treats it as grounds for forfeiting the Articles: if the LLC does not comply within 60 days of notice, it is deemed defunct. The state's reinstatement fee is then $350 if dissolved for having no registered agent. The Wyoming registered agent guide covers the full steps, and how to cancel a registered agent explains how to leave a service without a gap.3, 44

Can I use my agent's Wyoming address on my website or letterhead?

It depends on the provider's terms. Tailor Brands' terms say the agent's address cannot be used as the business location in public materials, and LegalZoom's say "You may not list the Registered Address in your company's public media." Every agent's address appears in the agent field of your filings; the business address you present to customers is a separate choice.14

How is the provider list on this page ordered?

By our score, highest first, with ties in editorial order. The score is built from published, cited facts, and the largest share comes from Trustpilot ratings, which reflect each company overall rather than its Wyoming service. The method is on how we score; providers with compliance tools are grouped on agents with compliance features, and the yearly report is explained in annual reports explained.
