Best LLC formation services in Oklahoma

Facts checked October 13 to 15, 2026.

Forming an Oklahoma LLC means filing Articles of Organization with the Oklahoma Secretary of State for $100 (plus a service fee), naming a registered agent who keeps an Oklahoma office open during business hours (18 Okla. Stat. § 2010), and then filing an Annual Certificate every year. The state says registering takes about 15 minutes. A formation service files the same Articles and charges its own fee on top; packages differ in whether they add the agent, an EIN, an operating agreement and help with the yearly certificate.1, 2, 3

How do you form an LLC in Oklahoma, step by step?

Pick a name, choose a registered agent, file the Articles online or on paper, then get an EIN, sign an operating agreement and note the date your first yearly certificate falls due.

The order helps. Checking the name and lining up an agent first means the Articles are complete when you file.

  1. Check the name. Make sure no other Oklahoma business is already using it. We couldn't confirm the state's fee for holding a name in advance from an official page we can cite, so if you want a reservation, check the fee with the Secretary of State.
  2. Choose your registered agent. Oklahoma allows an individual resident of this state or a domestic or qualified foreign corporation, and the statute also lets an LLC or partnership serve, or the LLC itself. Whoever you name must keep a business office open during regular business hours to accept service of process. The Oklahoma registered agent guide explains who qualifies and what goes on the record.2
  3. File the Articles of Organization. The statute sets the fee for the original articles of organization, and the state's business page lists it as $100 (plus a service fee). That page doesn't give the amount of the service fee, so expect an extra charge at checkout.1
  4. Pick a filing method. The state's page says registration is available electronically or by filling out the appropriate forms, and its FAQ says online filing runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Paper filing means sending those forms to the Secretary of State.1
  5. Allow for processing. The official pages we could read don't publish a standard processing time or a paid expedite option, so ask the Secretary of State if you have a deadline. A service's own turnaround is separate from the state's.
  6. Get an EIN. The IRS issues this federal tax number, not the state, and a bank will usually want it before opening a business account. Some packages below include it.
  7. Sign an operating agreement. The state pages we cite don't mention filing one with the Secretary of State; the owners' agreement sets out shares, voting and what happens when someone leaves. Several packages include a template.
  8. Diary the yearly certificate. It's due on the anniversary of the LLC's formation date, with a 60-day grace period, and the LLC also pays an annual fee of $25. After the grace period, the entity becomes inactive and not in good standing. Staying compliant in Oklahoma covers the yearly calendar.1, 3

What does an Oklahoma LLC cost with and without a service?

The state's fees are the same whether you file yourself or a service files for you. Every package price on this page is quoted before those fees.

Oklahoma Secretary of State fees for LLCs
FilingFee
Form the LLC$100 (plus a service fee) oklahoma.gov
Recurring report$25 oklahoma.gov
Reinstatement after dissolutionNo fee for the reinstatement form; each past-due Annual Certificate (and its fee) must be filed sos.ok.gov

On the state side, that leaves the filing fee and its service fee in year one, then the annual fee each year after. There's no franchise tax to add for an LLC: the Oklahoma Tax Commission says LLCs are statutorily exempt from franchise tax. "Not listed" means the provider's published package doesn't mention the item, so ask before you order. The year-two arithmetic, with agent renewals and the annual fee, is on the cheapest ways to form an Oklahoma LLC.

What does each formation package include for an Oklahoma LLC?

These paragraphs cover only the published formation terms, in the order of the provider table (our score, highest first, ties in editorial order; see how we score).

Oklahoma's yearly certificate gives report-filing features real work to do, so each paragraph notes whether that is in the package or sold on its own. Registered agents compared for Oklahoma covers the agent services in detail.

Tailor Brands

Lite costs $0 plus state fees and processes the LLC within 14 business days. Its description notes no annual compliance, operating agreement or branding tools. Essential is $199/yr plus state fees, charged yearly, and processes the LLC within 1 business day. Its plan list adds annual compliance (report filing and updates), operating agreement, without naming individual states for the report filing. Elite is $249/yr plus state fees. The packages don't say whether an agent is included; the agent service is priced separately at $199/year. Tailor Brands offers an EIN filing service (price not published).5, 6, 7

ZenBusiness

Starter is $0 + state fees (does not renew), with processing of 7-10 days that excludes Secretary of State time. It bundles Worry-Free Compliance free for 1 year (then $199/yr). Oklahoma's first certificate is due on the anniversary of the LLC's formation date, and ZenBusiness doesn't say whether the free year covers a report due on that date. The EIN and operating agreement are +$99 add-ons, and faster handling is a Rush upgrade +$79 on Starter. Pro ($199 + state fees, renews at $199/yr) includes the EIN, an operating agreement template and ongoing filing compliance (state-required annual report filings and up to 2 amendments per year). No package includes the agent. It is an add-on +$199/yr, and ZenBusiness offers 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC.8, 36

LegalZoom

LegalZoom's Basic package is $0 + state filing fees and covers the Articles of organization. The EIN, operating agreement and agent are priced on their own: the EIN at $79, an operating agreement that starts at $99, and the agent at $249/year (first-time registered agent customers). Pro, at $249 + state filing fees, adds attorney consultations (30 days included, then $49/month auto-renew), and its document library is included in Pro ($249) and Premium ($299), not Basic. A single yearly report filing costs $99 + state filing fees, bills once.10, 11, 12, 13, 14

Bizee

Bizee's Basic package is $0 + state fee and lists Registered Agent (1st year included); the agent then renews at $149/year (ongoing annual fee). The EIN ($70) and operating agreement (+$99) are add-ons on Basic. Standard, at $199 + state fee, includes Basic plus EIN, operating agreement, faster processing (~2 weeks), by Bizee's description. Premium, at $299 + state fee, lists expedited filing (~4 business days). Bizee doesn't publish how its timing relates to the Secretary of State's own handling. It sells annual report filing, with no standalone price stated.15, 16, 17, 37

Swyft Filings

Swyft's Basic is $0 + state fees and processes in 7-10 business days. Standard, at $169 + state fees (promotional, 'SAVE $30'; regular $199), adds custom organizational minutes, custom banking resolution, business banking essentials, operating agreement; it processes in 3 business days. None of the packages lists an agent, and buying the agent service on its own costs $149 per quarter ($596/year). Every LLC plan starts a trial of ComplianceGuard $199/year, a 14-day free trial then auto-charged. ComplianceGuard has annual report filing included, with the state fee extra, so decide before the trial ends whether you want it.18, 19, 38

doola

doola's Starter is $297/yr, billed every year. It includes LLC filing, EIN, US bank account guidance, US business address, registered agent, though how long the agent stays included is not stated (duration not stated). doola says it files within 1-2 business days, after which the state's own processing applies. Its pricing grid shows Starter does not include ongoing compliance filings, so on Starter, Oklahoma's certificate is yours to file. doola says it can help a non-resident without a US SSN; agents for non-resident founders covers that case.20, 21, 22, 39

Northwest Registered Agent

Northwest's formation is $39 + State Fees and includes filing plus a free domain name, open source website, phone line, business email, business address, brand protection. Northwest states an included agent year for corporations (as stated on the corporation page); its LLC page doesn't say the agent is included, so ask. The agent alone is $125 per year. It lists the operating agreement as a free template, and the EIN is $50 (with SSN); $200 without SSN. Report filing is $100 + state fees, charged at filing, and agent customers are enrolled in it automatically, so each yearly filing Northwest makes may bring that charge.23, 24, 25, 26, 40, 41

Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer ties formation to its membership and doesn't publish a non-member price. Its listing reads: First registration free with a Rocket Lawyer membership. Memberships are yearly charges (Standard $149/year, Plus $249/year, Pro $349/year) and start with a free 7-day trial. Because the agent is $125 with a Plus or Pro membership, a Standard member who wants Rocket Lawyer as the Oklahoma agent has to move up a tier and pay the agent price as well. The EIN is $70 with Plus or Pro membership, and report filing is $100 with Pro membership, excluding state fees. No operating agreement is listed with the formation.27, 28, 29, 42, 43

InCorp

InCorp's formation is priced starting at $99 plus state fees, and its package lists one inclusion: Live chat and phone support included. The agent is sold separately at $129 per state per year. InCorp sells an EIN service, $69. Report filing is $89 + state fees, and its expedite option is a $50.00 InCorp expedite fee (state expedite fee extra). The package doesn't mention an operating agreement.30, 31, 32, 33, 44

Harbor Compliance

Harbor's formation is priced starting at $99 plus state fees, and its page lists name check, articles, registered agent, EIN, operating agreement. It says it can prepare and file the government forms to create most LLCs in one business day. Harbor doesn't publish which tier includes which item, or how long an included agent lasts. The standalone agent is $99 first year (new customers) and renews at $159 annually. Its managed report service is $199 per state per year plus filing fees.34, 35, 45, 46

Should you file Oklahoma's Articles yourself or use a service?

Filing yourself costs $100 (plus a service fee) and the state's online system is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; a service saves the paperwork but adds its own fee and often a yearly charge.1

An Oklahoma resident who can keep an office open during regular business hours to accept service of process can act as the LLC's agent and skip that fee. The trade-off is that you have to be reachable at that address during the working day, and it becomes the agent address on the public record. A commercial agent's address goes in the agent field instead; that is true of every provider and doesn't change the other addresses the Articles ask for. For a separate mailing or business address, some providers sell one: Swyft Filings lists a virtual address at $29/mo; Standard 1 month free; Premium 3 months free.2, 18

The yearly certificate is where a service earns its fee or doesn't. The state's annual fee is $25, and every published report-filing price above is higher than that, charged on top. If you are organised about dates, you can file it yourself. If you are likely to miss the anniversary, a reminder or filing service guards against the LLC going inactive once the grace period runs out.1

Watch for charges that renew. ZenBusiness's Starter includes Worry-Free Compliance free for 1 year (then $199/yr), Swyft's plans start a free trial that turns into a paid subscription, and several packages are billed every year rather than once. Owners with co-owners, investors or a licensed profession may want a lawyer to draft or review the operating agreement rather than rely on a template. The glossary defines the filing terms.8

Questions about forming an LLC in Oklahoma

How long does it take to form an LLC in Oklahoma?

The state says registering takes about 15 minutes, but the official pages we could read don't give a processing time for approval. A service adds its own handling; ZenBusiness, for example, says its timing excludes Secretary of State time. If you have a deadline, ask the Secretary of State.1, 8

Can I file Oklahoma's Articles of Organization on paper?

Yes. The state's page says registration is available electronically or by filling out the appropriate forms. Online filing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while paper means filling out the appropriate forms and submitting them to the Secretary of State.1

Is there a franchise tax for an Oklahoma LLC?

No. The Oklahoma Tax Commission says LLCs are statutorily exempt from franchise tax, and the franchise tax that applied to corporations ended after tax year 2023. Income and sales taxes are separate and not covered here.4

Do formation packages include an Oklahoma registered agent?

Some do. Bizee's Basic includes the agent for the first year and doola's Starter lists one, while ZenBusiness sells it as an add-on +$199/yr. Check the renewal price as well as the first year; registered agents compared for Oklahoma lists them.8, 15

Do I need a package that files Oklahoma's yearly certificate?

Not necessarily. The Annual Certificate is due on the anniversary of the LLC's formation date with a 60-day grace period, and you can file it yourself. A package that includes filing, such as ZenBusiness's Pro, saves you tracking the date, but service fees run higher than the state's $25 charge. See what Oklahoma LLCs owe after formation and annual reports explained.3

Do I need my own address on Oklahoma's Articles if I hire an agent?

The agent's address goes in the agent field, whichever provider you hire. Hiring an agent doesn't change any other address or name the state asks you for. Some providers sell a separate business address; agents for privacy lists which ones.
