Cheapest LLC formation in Oklahoma

Facts checked October 13 to 14, 2026.

The cheapest Oklahoma LLC costs the Secretary of State's filing fee, $100 (plus a service fee), in year one, if you act as your own agent or take a package listed at $0 + state fee that bundles the agent's first year. From the second year on, the floor is the state's annual fee of $25, plus filing the Annual Certificate each year and any agent renewal. A package with a zero service price still leaves a bill: the state fee is always added, and a bundled agent later renews at the provider's price, such as $149/year (ongoing annual fee) at Bizee.1, 2, 3, 4

What does Oklahoma charge to form and keep an LLC?

Oklahoma's charges are set by the state, and no provider can lower them. Provider prices on this page are quoted before these fees.

Oklahoma Secretary of State fees for LLCs
FilingFee
Form the LLC$100 (plus a service fee) oklahoma.gov
Recurring report$25 oklahoma.gov
Reinstatement after dissolutionNo fee for the reinstatement form; each past-due Annual Certificate (and its fee) must be filed sos.ok.gov

The fee everyone pays is the one for filing the original articles of organization, listed as $100 (plus a service fee). The state's business page mentions the service fee without giving its amount, so the exact year-one figure shows up only at checkout. The fee is the same whether you file on the state's site yourself or a service does it for you.1

The second fixed cost comes a year later. Each year the LLC files its certificate on the anniversary of the LLC's formation date, with a 60-day grace period, and separately pays the state an annual fee of $25 to keep its registration active. It is due every year the LLC exists, so count it in any multi-year total.3

One charge doesn't apply. The Oklahoma Tax Commission says LLCs are statutorily exempt from franchise tax, so there is no franchise tax on the bill. Two others are unconfirmed: we couldn't confirm a name reservation fee or a foreign registration fee from an official page we can cite, so if you need either, check the Secretary of State's fee schedule first.5

What raises the cost of an Oklahoma LLC?

The bill rises with the registered agent, with packages and compliance plans billed every year, with add-ons sold at checkout, and with a missed yearly certificate.

The registered agent

Under 18 Okla. Stat. § 2010, the LLC's registered agent has to keep an office open during regular business hours to accept service of process. You can cover it three ways.6

  1. Act as your own agent. An Oklahoma resident with a fixed address and regular hours there pays nothing, but that address goes on the record and someone has to be there during the working day.
  2. Use a first year bundled with formation, then pay the provider's renewal from the second year on.
  3. Buy agent service on its own at the standalone prices below.

Don't let the agent lapse to save money. If an agent resigns and no successor is named, the Secretary of State is deemed the agent, so lawsuit papers could go to a state office instead of to you. The Oklahoma registered agent guide explains the rules.6

Yearly plans and compliance subscriptions

Two of the cheap packages come with a free period that later turns into a yearly charge, and the switch happens automatically unless you cancel. ZenBusiness's Starter includes Worry-Free Compliance free for 1 year (then $199/yr). Swyft Filings starts every LLC plan on a trial of its report service: a 14-day free trial then auto-charged. Report filing is useful in Oklahoma, because the certificate is due every year. Still, a service's price for one filing is higher than the state's $25 fee in every case we cite; ZenBusiness, for example, sells Annual Report Filing $100 per report. Filing yourself costs only the state fee.7, 8, 9

Add-ons at checkout

The usual extras are an EIN (the federal tax ID number), an operating agreement, a business address and faster handling. Each is either sold separately or built into a pricier package. The state's processing speed isn't published on the official pages we could read, so a provider's rush fee buys its own speed and may not change the state's.

A missed certificate

The state's FAQ doesn't name a late fee (no late fee stated), but after the grace period the entity becomes inactive and not in good standing. The reinstatement form has no fee, but each past-due Annual Certificate (and its fee) must be filed. So the cost of a lapse is every missed year's fee at once. The Oklahoma compliance page sets out the yearly dates.3

Below, in the same order, is what each provider's cheapest route adds to the Oklahoma filing fee in year one, and what keeps costing after that.

Tailor Brands. Lite is $0 plus state fees. The package doesn't list an agent, so budget $199/year for one or act as your own. Essential, a yearly plan at $199/yr plus state fees, includes annual compliance (report filing and updates). Tailor Brands review.10, 11

ZenBusiness. Starter is $0 + state fees (does not renew). The agent is an add-on +$199/yr; ZenBusiness offers 50% off the first year ($99) when you form an LLC, and it then renews at $199/yr. Mark the date the free compliance year ends. ZenBusiness review.7, 12

LegalZoom. Basic is $0 + state filing fees for the Articles of organization. Its agent is $249/year (first-time registered agent customers), renewing at the purchase rate each year, with the rate subject to change. LegalZoom review.13, 14

Bizee. Basic is $0 + state fee, and the agent is free for the first year with any Bizee formation package. In year one the state fee is close to the whole bill; in year two you pay the $25 state fee and the agent's $149/year (ongoing annual fee). Bizee review.4, 15

Swyft Filings. Basic is $0 + state fees. Its agent is billed every quarter and comes to $596/year, so compare the yearly figure. The packages don't list an agent. Swyft Filings review.16, 17

doola. Starter is $297/yr and includes an agent, though how long it stays included is not stated (duration not stated). The plan price itself renews each year. doola review.18

Northwest Registered Agent. Formation is $39 + State Fees. Northwest states an included agent year for corporations (as stated on the corporation page), and its LLC page doesn't say the agent is included, so check before you order. Standalone, the agent is $125 per year. Its pages say agent customers are automatically enrolled in Compliance Services (annual report filing), billed in annual auto-pay, which can add a charge each time Northwest files the yearly report, unless you opt out. Northwest review.19, 20, 21, 22

Rocket Lawyer. Rocket Lawyer's listing reads: First registration free with a Rocket Lawyer membership, and the company doesn't publish what forming an LLC costs without one. Standard, at $149/year, doesn't include the agent. The agent, $125 with a Plus or Pro membership, needs Plus at $249/year or higher. Rocket Lawyer review.23, 24, 25

InCorp Services. Formation is priced starting at $99 plus state fees, with the registered agent sold separately at $129 per state per year. Its terms say the agent is billed at then-current fee. InCorp review.26, 27, 28

Harbor Compliance. Formation is priced starting at $99 plus state fees. The agent is $99 first year (new customers) and then $159 annually; stopping it takes notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term. Harbor Compliance review.29, 30, 31

Oklahoma LLC cost questions

Can I form an Oklahoma LLC for only the state fee?

Yes, in year one, if the agent costs you nothing. That means acting as your own agent from an Oklahoma office open during business hours, or using a package like Bizee's that bundles the agent's first year. The state fee is $100 (plus a service fee); the state's page doesn't give the service fee's amount.1

What does an Oklahoma LLC cost each year after formation?

The state charges an annual fee of $25, and the Annual Certificate is due on the anniversary of the LLC's formation date. Add your agent's renewal if you pay one, and any yearly plan you signed up for. There's no franchise tax either: the Tax Commission says LLCs are statutorily exempt from franchise tax.1, 3, 5

Is it cheaper to file Oklahoma's yearly certificate myself?

Yes. Filing yourself costs the state's $25 fee only, while every service price we cite adds its own charge. InCorp, for example, sells filing at $89 + state fees. A service mainly protects against missing the date.32

What does it cost to bring a lapsed Oklahoma LLC back?

The reinstatement form itself has no fee, but each past-due Annual Certificate (and its fee) must be filed. So you pay the annual fee for every year you missed. The state's FAQ doesn't name a separate late fee (no late fee stated).3

Does switching agents after a free first year cost anything in Oklahoma?

We couldn't confirm the state's fee for changing agents from an official page we can cite, so check the Secretary of State's fee schedule. Provider terms can add cost: Harbor Compliance needs notice at least 90 days before the end of the current term. Put the new agent on file before you cancel the old one; how to change a registered agent covers the steps.31
